Outdoors Blow the Summer Winds

Oil, 1903. Classical High School, Göteborg. His first choice for the painting's motif was St. George and the dragon, but because of the lack of enthusiasm, he opted for a scene with mixed realism and fantasy. Inspiration for this scene came early one summer day as Larsson passed a multitude of Sundborn school children, cleaning and adorning the school before exams. Unframed print, 24" by 6 5/8"
