Why do Windflame® candles stay lit in the wind?
It's a combination of the type of wax, the design of the tin, and the wood fiber wick.
What is the best way to light Windflame® candles?
Place a match or lighter's flame on the wick until it's burning on all four sides. For easiest lighting on a windy day, light the wick in a sheltered area and then place in the desired location.
Do I need to do anything to the wick?
No. You not need trim the wick nor in any way maintain the wick prior to use.
How long will a candle burn?
Our candles are designed to burn over 6 hours.
How do I extinguish the candles?
Since the candles burn in winds of up to 20 miles per hour, don't try to extinguish them by blowing them out. And don't use water. Rather, put them out with the convenient snuffer that we also sell. Covering the tin with the snuffer will suffocate the flame, causing the candle to be "snuffed."
Yes. Even after soaking rain, provided they are dried out.
Is it true that the Windflame® candles float?
Yes indeed, Windflame® candles float. A very popular use is to float the candles in swimming pools, ponds and fountains.
Should I use a candleholder?
In most instances, we recommend a Windflame® candleholder, stake, or deck mount. Windflame® candles should not be used directly on flammable surfaces, including wood decks or docks. In most instances, it is better to elevate and ventilate the candle. $7.50 |
