The family run business Klippan Yllefabrik was started when Jöns Petter Magnusson bought a wool spinning mill at Klippan in 1879.
The business grew from year to year and Klippan Yllefabrik's main business was to manufacture and sell yarn for hand weaving and yarn for industrial use until the 1980s. During the 1970s Klippan Yllefabrik was one of Scandinavia's most modern wool spinning plant with about 100 employees.
In the beginning of the 1990s Klippan Yllefabrik started to change its business towards home textiles. To be able to manage the production and fully control the quality Klippan Yllefabrik bought a wool spinning and weaving plant in Latvia. The 100% own subsidiary Klippan Saule today produce yarn, throws, blankets and fabric.
According to their philosophy, Klippan only uses natural fibers for their products such as wool, linen and cotton. High quality fiber is essential for the final result.
Klippan is constantly developing their collection offering unique design's combined with high quality. Klippan products are sold in over 200 retailers in Sweden and are exported to about 30 countries in the world.
