Jewelry for Women all Ages

Dansk Smykkekunst
The history of Dansk Smykkekunst begins 40 years ago with the design and manufacture of pure silver jewelry in a cellar at Nørrebro.

Fashion Jewelry is cornerstone of Dansk Smykkekunst, and today they have one of the largest collections of fashion jewelry.

Christian Storm is the second generation in family business and, together with his wife Malene, the driving force behind the design and the continued development of Dansk Smykkekunst. Both Christian and Malene (inset photo) are fully engaged in the firm along with a handful of talented employees.

"We get the inspiration for our collections while traveling in Europe and Asia - and from the cityscape of Copenhagen. In addition, nature plays a big role in our lives and often the choice of materials inspired by nature and its colors and diversity," says Christian and Malene.

It is the passion that all women should be allowed to wear unique jewelry at affordable prices - without compromising on quality, which is the basis for Dansk Smykkekunst success. Other than Denmark, their uniquely designed jewelry is available in nine other European countries and the USA.

Nickel and Lead-free Jewelry:

All jewelry from Dansk Smykkekunst is nickel and lead free and conforms to the regulations as laid out in the EU directive. Always manufactured to the highest of standards. The base material used is copper or brass; this is then plated with 14-carat gold, sterling silver or rhodium. Rhodium is a fine precious metal such as silver but the advantage of rhodium is that it unlike silver does not oxidize. In addition, the jewelry features semi precious stones, beads, glass - or fresh water pearls, Mother of Pearl and enamels all selected from the best quality available. All earring posts are surgical steel.

Jewelry Care:

The more careful you are with your jewelry, the longer it will last. The plating of the jewelry is affected by cosmetics, perfume, alcohol and medicine consumption, sweat, water and body imbalance. These factors provoke a chemical reaction in the metal resulting in oxidizing. Therefore we recommend that you remove your jewelry when bathing, exercising or sleeping. If you find it neccessary to clean your jewellery, e.g. if you have been in contact with chlorine, perfume or hairspray, you should only use lukewarn water and a soft cloth.
