BOOKMAN Bike Lights
We are Bookman, a Stockholm based company that makes accessories for bicycles and the people on them. Inspired by the bustling bike life of the European metropolis, the focus is the urban bicyclist, for whom style is as important as function. Our design aesthetic is simple but expressive, minimalistic but playful.
Our story together began in 2006 when we initiated a project involving university students and bike lights. Biking was, and still is, the number one way for Swedish students to get around, but the majority are riding in the dark. We figured out a way to equip them with lights which made both them and the police happy. What started as a small scale social project rapidly grew into a nationwide concept and we began to realize that there might be a way for us to combine our business experience with our passion for bikes and design.
Our first product line, Bookman Light, was released in the summer of 2011 and we are proud to collaborate with an impressive array of retailers from around the world.
