Women have dominated in many fields and made an impressive impact on Swedish design history. One person who discovered this early is the gallerist Pascale Cottard-Olsson, a Frenchwoman living in Sweden who has a strong love of design and an instinctive ability to spot talented designers. As a result, she now operates Sweden’s only gallery (located in Stockholm), that is devoted purely to design. The 17 Swedish women designers on display here have all at one time or another exhibited their works at the small Galerie Pascale Cottard-Olsson, and their work is a celebration of the beauty and functionality that is Swedish design. Here at shopswedish, we have some selected pieces from Lena Bergström, as well as other well known Swedish designers, both women and men.
